BOOKLOUD
1. Definition of Personal Information
Personal information is information which relates to an existing person (name, address, gender, date of birth, etc.) as well as information that can identify a particular person (email address, password, pseudonym, etc.).
2. Personal Information Management
We diligently prevent malicious access, loss, tampering, leakage and other such acts on the personal information in BOOKLOUD's possession, and we work out appropriate information security measures while continually improving our ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date details.
3. Obtaining Personal Information
BOOKLOUD obtains personal information through lawful and fair means. BOOKLOUD also explicitly states the purpose of use when obtaining it.
4. Use of Personal Information
BOOKLOUD uses obtained personal information for the below purposes.
- To send products, presents, direct mail, information on new products, etc.
- To improve products and service.
- To draw up statistics.
- For invoicing, collection, payment and other office processing of fees.
- To respond to inquiries, contact customers, etc.
5. Offering Personal Information to Third Parties
- If BOOKLOUD entrusts the handling of personal information in its possession to a third party, BOOKLOUD's protection rules will be strictly adhered to while necessary and appropriate supervision is performed.
- BOOKLOUD does not provide, disclose or otherwise reveal personal information in its possession to third parties. However, the following cases are excluded.
- When required under the law.
- When prior consent and agreement is received.
- When necessary to protect the life, body or assets, etc. of a person, or to protect the public interest.
- When necessary to execute as prescribed by law the work of a national institution such as a court or the police, or of a local government or other entity entrusted with said work.
- When necessary to share with a financial institution or credit card company, etc., in order to settle payment for a product, paid service, etc.
- If BOOKLOUD establishes a company, or to continue business operations if BOOKLOUD merges with, transfers business to or otherwise cooperates with another company in such a fashion.
6. Disclosure, Amending and Deletion of Personal Information
BOOKLOUD will promptly respond to a request such as disclosure, amendment or deletion made by a person or an agent of said person. However, at that time BOOKLOUD may request the submission of documents proving the person's identity such as a driver's license or passport, or otherwise request verification of the identity of the person using the personal information in BOOKLOUD's possession.
